A letter to my heart

This piece is a reflective and contemplative piece about the relationship that I have with my heart. I don’t enjoy thinking about it, and don’t like hearing or feeling my heartbeat, because it makes me feel very human and therefore quite vulnerable.

I do think we rarely stop and think about what goes on inside our bodies that it pays to stop and reflect on this with awe every once in a while.

As I produced this embroidery, and wrote the letter to go with it, I could feel myself becoming more aware of and more comfortable with this relationship.
